Dr Sammy Gitaari is the bishop and founder of Gospel Celebration Church and the apostolic leader of Gospel Apostolic Network, a ministry based in Kenya with a global reach. Since 1977, Dr Gitaari has walked in God’s call and assignment to apostolic leadership development, family enrichment, and to release grace, wisdom and faith in every speaking engagement. Dr Gitaari has facilitated many international, regional, and national fora on topics that align with his calling, and his simple teaching and preaching style endears him to people of all ages and backgrounds. His radio and television broadcasts have changed many lives throughout Kenya and the wider East African region.

Dr. Gitaari is a practical theologian with doctoral degrees in theology, religious education and divinity and holds a Master of Divinity and a Bachelor of Education degree.  He has been a senior lecturer and director of the Institute of Church Leadership at the International Leadership University (ILU) and is an adjunct lecturer at Daystar University. Dr Gitaari has authored several books, including the bestselling titles Resolving Conflicts in Marriage, Dreaming Again, Building Effective Family Altars, Keys to a Great Marriage, Conquering Worry and Seasons of Marriage. His book, Amazing Freedom: Freed to Be Free, articulates his passion for a clarified gospel. He regularly contributes to several magazines, and his monthly column, Family Talk, in the Revival Springs magazine, has remained popular among readers for many years. Dr Gitaari taught mathematics and chemistry before joining the pastoral ministry. 

Bishop Gitaari is married to Rose, and they have two adult children.
